Marc-André Hamelin, piano

A legend among pianists, Marc-André Hamelin’s performances are nothing short of breathtaking. Renowned for his staggering technique and profound musical insight, he brings a rare blend of intellect and emotion to the piano.

Whether interpreting the timeless masterpieces of Beethoven, unearthing forgotten gems, or sharing his own compositions, Marc-André’s playing is a masterclass in artistry. His program includes Beethoven’s C Major Sonata, Op. 2, No. 3, Haydn’s Piano Sonata in D Major, and the monumental Rachmaninov Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat Minor.

An MitM favorite, his return to our stage will remind us why he’s considered one of the greatest and most thoughtful pianists of our time. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear the pianist critics call the “thinking man’s virtuoso” (Washington Post).
