What better time is there to be in Vancouver than the month of June? Longer days, 20-degree weather, sunshine… and Summer Music Vancouver 2024! The acclaimed Afiara Quartet will return with a program of Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 59, No. 2 and an exquisite work by Jessie Montgomery called Strum, which is known to amaze audiences with the different sounds the string quartet is capable of making.

Music in the Morning is a distinctive morning concert series that inspires its audiences with masterpieces of the past, while challenging them with music of our time performed by the finest local, national and international talent – all at affordable ticket prices. Music in the Morning operates on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish people of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Ticket sales and subscriptions make up only half the revenue needed for us to be able to provide varied and high quality programming and meaningful concert experiences for people of all ages at Music in the Morning.
